The Office of the Vice President for Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) launched this campaign in April, looking to reach underrepresented students experiencing difficulties created by closures and cancellations. While we are coming together as a campus with the best interests of all in mind as we work to stop the spread of coronavirus, we also want to keep in mind the social and emotional needs of those who may be suffering in silence.
With the expansion of this campaign to the entire university, be on the lookout for tips, resources, and messages of support from multiple entities across the University of Utah! Search #CheckOnYourUCrew to find how people across the campus community are checking in on one another or participate in this campaign yourself!
We are calling on our University community – students, faculty, staff - to join us in reaching out to their classmates, colleagues and friends. All participants are asked to support the social media portion of the campaign via three simple steps:
Reach out to members of your “U Crew” to see how they are doing and if they need anything to return to school.
Post your own picture, video or message sharing helpful resources and tips for students, staff and faculty preparing for the Fall 2020 Semester using hashtag #CheckOnYourUCrew in the caption of your post
